I'm a creator, thinker and a dreamer and I like to make things

Welcome to my collection of random thoughts, ideas and creations, neatly packaged in the form of a website.

Don't be suprised at what you find here. I've spent a long time trying to contain my interests in the world around me but have finally given up. Instead I just write, draw and collect things, a digital magpie if you like, flying from one shiny thing to another.

Feel free to stay and look around. Who knows what you might find.

Stuff interesting me at the moment

Pinhole camera photography

Back in October last year I bought and made a cardboard pinhole camera, and I took it on holiday down to Cornwall to try it out. It gave some pretty good results given how primitive it is, and I'm going to take it out again and have another go in the coming weeks.

Today I visited Timanfaya National Park on the north-western coast of Lanzarote. There we took took a bus tour of the mountains of fire and saw the incredible lava fields that dominate the landscape. It felt like a bus tour of mars, and I took the opportunity to take some photo's.

When you visit Paris you need to visit the Pompidou Centre. Located in the centre, in a building designed by Renzo Piano and Richard Rogers the centre is a cultural institution where the visual arts rub shoulders with theatre, music, cinema, literature and the spoken word.

On a trip to St Ives last year I took photo's of some of the less well known parts of the town. The back streets, the small fishermans cottages and some views from the harbour looking out to sea. I always take colour photo's, so for this post I thought it would be interesting to try some high contrast black and white shots.

Around the streets of Havana there are some interesting little typographic gems for the keen type spotter. The cars and the buildings dominate the cityscape, but if you keep looking some interesting letterforms can be found.
