Around the streets of Havana there are some interesting little typographic gems for the keen type spotter. The cars and the buildings dominate the cityscape, but if you keep looking some interesting letterforms can be found.

In 1959 Raúl Corral was Director of Photography at the IRNA (National Institute of Agrarian Reform). On September 14th Che Guevara was an TV and Raúl shot several rolls of film from behind the scenes.

Alberto Korda photographed one of the most iconic faces of all time Ernesto Che Guevara or just Che Guevara to you and I. He's responsibe for an image that has been reproduced countless times entitled Guerrillero Heroico declared "the most famous photograph in the world".

February is looking like it will feature a lot of posts about Cuba. Cuba and its capital Havana is an amazing place, both in its history and its visual qualities. Almost every corner has something truly interesting for someone like me. I'll begin with the Cuban flag.
